Welcome to Digital Alex by Alex L. Cohen
Welcome to Digital Alex, where you'll get Actionable Advice for Better Internet Marketing. If you're new, explore my archives and subscribe to my RSS feed.
I remember my very first website. I was studying Turbo Pascal and C++ in high school and we concluded the AP Computer Science class with HTML lessons. I soon cobbled together a feeble example of a web site. The would be later followed by 2 or 3 personal blogs as I toyed with Blogger in college and after school. Nothing ever stuck and my publishing days dwindled.
Flash forward to today. I’m a Strategic Analyst at Commerce360 and I’ve seen first-hand the power of blogging to promote yourself and one’s company. I’m ashamed to admit that I wasn’t very tapped into the blog community before I came to Commerce360, but guided the example of our President, who writes the company blog, and my coworker Li Evans, I quickly became a convert. I’m completely seduced by the power of the medium as a meritocracy (an ideal that means a great deal to me). The most persistent and persuasive voice wins.
I’m also inspired by Avinash Kaushik. This man is truly a blogging success story. His expansive posts about his deep web analytics experiences led him from Intuit to become Google’s Analytics Evangelist and author. Avinash’s inspiration includes Guy Kawasaki, whose advice also encourages me.
So here it is: Digital Alex by Alex L. Cohen. This is my slice of the internet, however humble it may be. I’m here to talk about interactive marketing strategies, web analytics, conversion and more. I’m still learning and I hope you are too. Please leave a comment, subscribe to my feed, send me a link or drop me an email, alex @ alexlcohen . com
