Amazon Web Services (AWS) is searching for the next hot start-up that is leveraging AWS to build its infrastructure and business. We have chosen seven finalists and the winner will receive $50,000 in cash, $50,000 in AWS credits, and an investment offer from Amazon.

I’m taking a quick break from my regular content for an exciting (to me) announcement.  Commerce360, my employer based outside of Philly, has been named a finalist for Technology Startup Company of the Year as part of the Enterprise Awards by the Eastern Technology Council, a regional who’s who of tech firms.

Criteria: Company must have operating results of three years or less.

Key Considerations: Product or service innovation including market
need or assessment and potential for significant growth; the management
team and its ability and record of achieving success; and a
demonstration of success such as significant milestones, raising
capital, and revenue.

I’ll be mixing and mingling with the CEOs, VCs and regular day-to-day folk like myself at the gala at the Kimmel on December 6th.  Send good vibes our way and say hello if you’ll be there.

Eastern Technology Council Finalist – Technology Startup Company

As you know, I’m a Strategic Analyst over at Commerce360.  We’ve been working behind the scenes to cook up a new website and it recently launched.  In addition to a new look and feel, it communicates our focus–the science of online marketing.  We’re also debuting our new software:

Our marketing scientists optimize your campaigns to meet specific revenue or profit goals using ClickEquations, our proprietary software platform. ClickEquations enables us to optimize keywords, bids, and ad creative – not just as individual components but also as an interdependent system.
