#21 - Mine Your Internal Site Search Terms for SEO and SEM

Understanding how people talk about and search for your products or services can help you make your content easier to find. Look at the list of terms people have entered into your site’s search engine and ask yourself 3 questions:

  1. How can I incorporate these terms into my PPC campaigns for campaigns for better keyword coverage?
  2. Are the common ways people search for content producing desirable and relevant results? (Hint: Try searching for them yourself)
  3. Have we optimized our content to ensure we show up in organic rankings for the actual words people use to find content on our site (assuming sufficient volume and strategic importance)?
