John Marshall, a veteran web analytics guru and former head of ClickTracks, has started a new service focused on training people in interactive marketing (not just web analytics). It’s called MarketMotive and he’s joined by Avinash Kaushik and Michael Stebbins. Here’s the press release he sent me. Check out his new venture at www.marketmotive.com.

While talking to web analytics users over the last six months, it became
clear to me that the need for education in the Internet marketing realm far
outweighs the need for new technology. So, I’ve left ClickTracks in good
hands and I am pleased to be launching Market Motive with Michael Stebbins
and Avinash Kaushik.

We’re educating marketers through traditional consulting, and through a
members-only site where we’ve recruited what we think are the “biggest
names” in the industry to educate our subscribers and clients

We’ll officially announce later this week, but if you’d like some early info
see the upcoming press release at http://www.marketmotive.com/news.php
